Plasma Exchange (Plasmapheresis)

For patients with severe autoimmune neurological disorders, plasma exchange offers a powerful intervention to remove harmful antibodies and reset immune function. Dr. Bouboulis and our team provide coordinated plasma exchange services for complex cases that haven't responded to conventional treatments.

Plasma exchange involves filtering the patient's blood to remove plasma containing autoantibodies, replacing it with albumin or donor plasma.

This procedure is particularly effective when combined with IVIG therapy for conditions involving immune dysregulation.

Advanced Allergy is an out-of-network provider, offering full documentation to support reimbursement through most PPO plans. Our team is happy to help clarify what's covered so you can focus on your health.

We work with patients who have PPO plans, including most Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and United Healthcare policies. Note that we are unable to accept certain state-specific plans.
